Sir Visvesaraya gave us another day to celebrate his excellence. But do we really have the right to wish each other on engineer’s day when all we did during our B.Tech journey was memorizing the concepts and after 4 years, contributing nothing to the society. Well, I think it’s a long way to go and have that privilege of proudly calling ourselves engineers.
But as they say, it’s never too late. Let us try to inculcate a habit of acquiring more and more knowledge in such a way that it’s not just about money. We need to understand in what small possible ways our knowledge can help the people near us and trust me it is not that tough, we can start with smallest things like helping someone who is afraid of the escalator. YES, this is all it takes, make it a habit to help others while you still can.
Let us hope we slowly learn to live for others too..Till then, HAPPY ENGINEER’S DAY.
